BARBECUES & FIRES

Most campers bring their own barbecues and cooking gear. The only communal barbecue area is on the office lawn. Some cabins and all four park units have their own barbecues.

Fires in drums, available free of charge, are allowed in the camping area (only) of the park when fire restrictions permit and subject to some common sense rules. If you intend to cook on your fire drum, you will need to bring your own mesh/grid to fit across a half oil drum cut lengthwise.

Campers can collect their own firewood, provided it is brought into the park cut for use. (No big logs and no cutting of wood are allowed in the park.) Dry pre-cut wood is available from our local supplier through the office, or a full "long stay" load can be ordered and delivered in advance of your stay.
